4 Tips to Get Your Writing Noticed

If you have a website, you have to have great content. The cliche for writing online is ‘Content is King’.  The reason it is a cliche is because it’s true.  Many times the main objective of business owner is a visually pleasing site that says what you want.  That may seem logical, but you must always remember, you are marketing to other people; not yourself.  A website will sit unnoticed unless you have a steady flow of keyword rich content that feeds off of popular trends and topics.

1. Keywords
If you are going to write online content, Keywords are going to be your most important ingredient.  When consumers are looking for your products, they are typing specific words and phrases.  By doing keyword research, with tools such as Market Samurai and Google Adwords, you can get the best words you need.  By utilizing these words and phrases, you will match what users are typing.  Keyword research is the first step and cannot be looked over.  Without great keywords, you do not get the attention that you need.

2. Placement of Words
Now that you have your keywords, how do you place them into your blogs, articles, and site content?  The best way to place keywords into your writing is by writing naturally. Internet advertisers are always trying to create strategies on how to arrange keywords and connect to Google. When writing an article, your keyword is going to be an important element to your subject matter. These keywords will come up throughout the piece because the words are important to the piece.  If you know your keywords and right in genuine and honest manner, you will do great.

3. Use Google Analytics
How do you track your writing? You can write articles and blogs all day, but now you need to see how well they are being received by the public. With tracking tools, like Google Analytics, you can see how many people are coming to your site. You can also see which content is working and what isn’t.  With tracking services, like Google Analytics, you will be able design better content strategies. You can try different link spreading techniques and zero-in on the tactics that work best.

4. Make Content Visually Pleasing
Content isn’t all about great writing.  We live in a very fast paced world. So, many times, a quick video is what users gravitate to quicker than anything. In order to capitalize on  your writing, you must also be a designer.  You have to arrange your writing in a way that viewers get quick information.   By using exciting titles, bolded headlines, and clear descriptions, you create content that physically draws people in.  The organized structure also makes your site easier for search engines that are crawling your information.
